Let’s go Buffalo! The Buffalo Sabres are one of the five teams in the northeast conference in the National Hockey League (NHL). The Sabres joined the NHL in 1970. The all-time first Sabres drafts pick were Gil Perreault who was the top pick in the 1970 NHL Draft. In the teams opening season Perreault led the club with a grand total of 38 goals in the season and earned the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s rookie of the year. In the 1972-73 seasons the Buffalo Sabres advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals and unfortunately lost. In the 1974-75 season right winger Rene Robert became the first player in franchise history to reach 100 goals and Rick Martin was the first player from Buffalo to play in the annual NHL All-star Game. These three men make up the famous French Connection. Buffalo Sabres games are very family friend orientated. My favorite part of the game is seeing sabretooth run around the arena going up to little kids and hugging and taking pictures with all the little ones. Depending on what game you attend all ticket prices are different. Gold games tend to run between $64 and $185, Silver games run between $53 and $146, Bronze games run at $39 and $127 and all valued games run at $29 and $113. Those prices are priced just for individual tickets only. You can also rent out suits for the games too valued between $2,000 and $8,000 a game. In a regular season the Buffalo Sabres play a total of 82 games and playing around 3 or 4 games on a weekly basis.
